We regularly change our menus to make the most of a freshly-landed catch or the new season’s crop.
Here at The Duck we are proud to be able to supply a great majority of our own herbs and salads with a few select vegetables. Dave our gardener does a great job at looking after the garden for us as well as Alice (Maciek's mum). She will often help with weeding, watering and picking (when the chefs are too busy in the kitchen to come out themselves).
Homegrown Mint is used for desserts and served in your Pimms. Other herbs grown include Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley and Dill.
We have a selection of different lettuces to use for the salads as well as homegrown Tomatoes and Onions.
Vegetables include Fennel, Beetroot, Cabbage, Green Beans, Carrots and Courgettes.
Most are displayed within the beer garden and in the blue planters at the front of the premises so you can enjoy seeing some of the ingredients used to make your meal.
When we can't grow the fruit, salad or vegetables ourselves, Arthur David do the leg work for us to source and purchase the finest produce available.
They never forget our roots, and a lot of time is spent discussing growing programmes and product specifications with the army of local growers who share our passion about fresh, great tasting food.
