Fathe'rs Day Free Pint

1. FREE PINT FOR DAD’S AND A SLAP UP MEAL

Discover Somerset’s hidden gem… an award gastro-pub and free house, The Duck at Burtle, located on the beautiful Somerset Levels.

This Father’s day they are welcoming all Dad’s with a free pint of draught when they eat in the restaurant.  Serving Sunday Roast, or other delicious meals, from 12 noon to 7.00pm so plenty of time to fit in one of these activities as well!

The pub is family friendly with a large garden and free wifi.

2. 90’s Reloaded Weekend at The Beachcomber, Brean

Relive the days when hips moved freely and glow sticks were essential dancefloor accessories with a nineties entertainment weekend in Brean.

With the greatest Take That tribute act in the world, Jenni Jaye taking on Britney and Madonna and a one-man Oasis show (just imagine both Gallagher brothers merged into one!), it promises to be a cracking show.

What’s more, it’s free entry and there’s free parking – so what are you waiting for, get booking!

For the fast and the furious fathers out there, this could be ultimate Father’s Day present.

From an Aston Martin DB9 to a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, there is a selection of some of the most iconic supercars available, so that Dad can open the throttle on his Sunday drive.

He can release his inner ‘petrol head’ by taking a Bentley GT for a spin as well as admiring the hundreds of vehicles on show inside Haynes International Motor Museum.

Time to hand over the keys to a day that Dad will never forget.

4. Weston-super-Mare Air Festival and Armed Forces Weekend

For a day to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand at attention, then celebrating the armed forces at the Weston Air Festival is what you’re looking for.

Organised by North Somerset Council with W-S-M Town Council and the Weston Business Improvement District, this is their biggest event of the year and always proves to be hugely popular.

Free for all the family, there will be glorious aerobatic displays and plenty of appreciation for the armed forces over the two days.

5. Somerset Bugfest at Ham Wall

Father’s Day heralds the start of National Insect Week and what better way to celebrate this than by going on a bug hunt.

From getting to grips with the world of mini beasts to building a bug hotel, there is plenty for young and old fans of creepy crawlies.

Booking is essential, contacting ham.wall@rspb.org.uk or calling 01458 860494, will ensure you’re on the list.
